Web Infrastructure for Treatment Services (WITS) is a collaborative information technology approach to the planning, administration, and monitoring of Substance Abuse Treatment Programs. Sponsored by State AOD Agencies and SAMHSA’s Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), WITS is designed to meet the growing demand to capture client treatment data, share information among agencies, and satisfy mandatory government reporting requirements. The application was developed using the rules set forth by 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
WITS features numerous clinical, administrative, and reporting modules that are organized by workflow. FEI.com partners with County AOD Divisions to customize WITS to comply with county-specific business rules.
WITS is an all-in-one solution for:

Several California County Departments of Substance Abuse and Mental Health have selected FEI.com to implement WITS for Case Management, Medi-Cal, CalOMS, and numerous county level programs. These counties include San Diego, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Marin. In addition, 11 states are currently using WITS to collect and report Substance Abuse Treatment data.
FEI.com designed the WITS on-screen interface with careful consideration of the end user’s needs. Its structured approach to data entry greatly reduces input errors. WITS also provides summary pages that allow users to quickly identify and access records that are incomplete, thereby increasing the number of records accepted in State data submissions.
