WITS can meet Short-Doyle/Drug Medi-Cal requirements because it can generate 837 transactions and transmit them to the State. WITS also captures remittance advice through HIPAA 835 transactions. Errors on provider claims are greatly reduced by the continuous error checking on the WITS interface.
